SHAKEB "SHAK" KUNDIWALA

My Background

At HAYA Financial Strategies & Insurance Agency, I bring together more than 25 years as a business owner with deep experience in corporate strategy and technology. Before founding HAYA, I served as a Business Architect at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, helping leaders align complex systems with real-world business goals. Sacramento has been home since 2003, and in September 2025 I celebrated 25 years as an entrepreneur, which continues to shape the way I serve families and business owners today.

My work is rooted in community. I serve as President of the Sacramento Metro Muslim Chamber of Commerce and as Head of Platform Partnerships at Shariawiz, where I help connect families with faith-aligned estate planning resources. Within New York Life, I also act as a cultural ambassador, helping foster inclusive, respectful conversations so more people feel seen and heard when they talk about money and legacy.

At home and at work, I’m part of a blended family, so I understand that real life is rarely simple. We currently serve clients in California, New Jersey, Nevada, New York, and Texas, often across multiple generations and locations. When we meet, my first job is to listen, then we can design insurance and financial strategies that reflect your values, your family dynamics, and the future you want to build.

DISCOVERY

Step 1

We start with a conversation. I ask about your family, business, and long term goals, and we review what you already have in place. The goal is to understand what matters most to you, where you feel confident, and where you feel exposed, so any recommendations are grounded in your real life, not in a generic profile.

SOLUTION

Step 2

Next, we turn your goals into a clear roadmap. Together we prioritize what needs attention first, map out short term and long term objectives, and discuss tradeoffs in simple language. By the end of this step, you know what we are working toward, why it matters, and what is realistic based on your current situation.

ACTION

Step 3

Finally, we talk about specific strategies and solutions. I introduce insurance and financial options that align with your values and objectives, and, if you wish, I coordinate with your tax and legal advisors so everything works together. We then meet regularly to review your strategy, adjust for changes in your family or business, and help keep you on track over time.
